Zosimos Botanicals LLC consciously spreads positive environmental and social benefits to the world. Our products are free of chemicals that pollute the groundwater. We are committed to reducing our business' impact on the environment. The ZB studio reduces its carbon footprint by using 100% wind power. We only patronize suppliers that use sustainable harvesting practices, grow pesticide-free plants and produce Certified Organic and or natural ingredients. Zosimos Botanicals LLC gives back to the community through dissemination of information about natural alternatives to chemical-laden cosmetics.

In 2011, we have chosen to focus on three key areas: violence against women; animal rescue; and environmental protection. Zosimos Botanicals supports causes furthered by both local and international groups and charities, which we invite you to visit. Although we highlight certain events below, these entities continue to pursue their important missions throughout the year.

• Denali Citizens Council Communities in the areas surrounding Denali National Park in Alaska practice environmentally sustainable development and retain their small town character and rural lifestyles. Denali Citizens Council is a 501(c)(3)-membership organization incorporated in 1974 to provide citizens' conservation voice in the management of Denali National Park. The Denali Citizens Council (DCC) is fighting against the Alaska Department of Natural Resources' award of a gas exploration license on approximately 208,000 acres of state lands in the Denali Borough Alaska Railroad from spraying herbicides on its entire track, supporting mandatory disclosure of chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing used in gas drilling under a recently granted exploration license which will affect the Park water. On August 26, DCC filed its brief in the Alaska Superior Court lawsuit against the Alaska Department of Natural Resources' award of a gas exploration license on approximately 208,000 acres of state lands in the Denali Borough.

• Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary's 14th annual Fundraiser and Open House, to raise funds to continue the organization's important work of rescuing abused and abandoned farm animals. Sunday, September 25 1-5pm rain or shine, 15200 Mt. Nebo Road, Poolesville, MD 20837. For the safety of the animals, no dogs, please. Keynote speaker Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, the Compassionate Cook. • ComforTree.org, a Non Profit Organization which helps make all cancer patients and their families lives more manageable by providing free monthly non-toxic housecleaning while they are in treatment, is getting ready for its 2nd Annual Golf Outing Fundraiser on May 21, 2012. • Oct. 22nd from 7-11 p.m., the Montgomery County Humane Society's annual gala the Love Ball at Hyatt Regency Bethesda. Purchase tickets online. Proceeds benefit the homeless animals and the life-saving programs of the Montgomery county Humane Society. Dogs are welcome guests. Emcee, FOX5 weather forecaster Sue Palka.

• The Oregon Sexual Assault Task Force is hosting 3rd annual Roots-of-Change: Social Justice and Media Biennial Conference. The Conference is being held November 2-4 in Portland, OR and allows attendees to learn from and meet leaders in the movement to prevent sexual violence. The keynote speaker Men Can Stop Rape will present "Getting Friendly with Feminism and Prevention: A Man’s Journey".

• Reef Check Australia is a not-for-profit environmental organization that engages the Australian community in coral reef conservation at a unique level. Volunteers regularly monitor and report on reef health. Their mission is to protect and help to rehabilitate Australia's valuable coral reefs through community education, to raise awareness of the key issues, and scientific research, to collect data that contributes to solutions.

• Zosimos Botanicals continues its relationship with Liberty's Promise. We sponsored two interns through Liberty's Promise Opportunities Plus program this year. The program gives young immigrants a chance to explore their talents by exposing them to career possibilities.

• Reef Check Australia and the Denali Citizens Council were the recipients of our 2011 pledge to 1% for the Planet.
