Denali Citizens Council - Communities in the areas surrounding Denali National Park in Alaska practice environmentally sustainable development and retain their small town character and rural lifestyles. Denali Citizens Council is a 501(c)(3)-membership organization incorporated in 1974 to provide citizens' conservation voice in the management of Denali National Park. The Denali Citizens Council (DCC) is fighting against the Alaska Department of Natural Resources' award of a gas exploration license on approximately 208,000 acres of state lands in the Denali Borough Alaska Railroad from spraying herbicides on its entire track, supporting mandatory disclosure of chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing used in gas drilling under a recently granted exploration license which will affect the Park water. DCC filed its brief in the Alaska Superior Court lawsuit against the Alaska Department of Natural Resources' award of a gas exploration license on approximately 208,000 acres of state lands in the Denali Borough.

They support full time Riverkeepers for the Choptank, Miles, and Wye Rivers. These Riverkeepers provide on-the-water vigilance and, as members of the Waterkeeper Alliance, work to fight pollution and strengthen and enforce environmental regulations and policies.
The Issac Walton League was the recipient of our 2013 pledge to 1% for the Planet.
