Making over Teens at the DC Green Festival

This weekend is the DC Green Festival and we have been asked to perform makeovers in the Teen Pavilion by Stacy Malkan, one of the founders of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. After the DC Green festival, Zosimos will be selling signed copies of Stacy's book "Not Just a Pretty Face: The Ugly Side of the Beauty Industry" while supplies last.

There's a new lipstick in town, Cocoa! A deep, rich brown that's fabulous for the fall season.

Lilac lip pencil and Lilac eye shadow have been re-introduced. The Lilac

pigment was reformulated without titanium dioxide.

Greenest Business Contest

Over the last two months, many of you voted for Zosimos Botanicals as the Greenest business of 2008 in the StartUpNation contest. Voting has now ended. We'll be on the lookout this month to learn the results!

Good Causes We're Supporting

Morgan State University is competing in RecycleMania. RecycleMania is an event where colleges attempt to recycle the highest content of material. Zosimos Botanicals donated a unisex gift basket as a prize during this worthy effort!

The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS) conducts workshops educating women on the risk of lead poisoning from traditional eye makeup (kajul). Zosimos donated eye pencils which ACCESS is using in Cosmetic Safety Workshops.
