New and Improved Products
Coming soon!  Pucker up for a new shade of lipstick in Persimmon. Persimmon is an orange hue that is darker than Peachfuzz, yet lighter than Terracotta Spice.  Spring forward into the season's lipstick trend with this color.

Speaking of lipstick, Linda has reformulated all lipstick shades to include Aloe Butter. Aloe Butter is a fusion of Aloe Vera Gel and Cocoa Butter. This new ingredient increases the slickness of our lipsticks, allowing for easier application while providing more moisture.
What we saw at the Award Shows

"Side-parted hairstyles proved popular at the Golden Globes - worn straight and long by Drew Barrymore and Allison Williams or as romantic twists and glamorous waves at the BAFTAs,  Critics' Choice Awards and SAG Awards. And the make-up? Smoky eyes were in abundance at the Grammys and Brits whilst lips in cherry, tomato and berry hues popped up on every red carpet, with Jennifer Lawrence, Lorde, Emma Watson and Cate Blanchett showcasing some of the best examples" UK Vogue.

Hannah Simone's make-up was played out in a palette of subtle nude shades, with glowing skin, subtly defined eyes and pale lips complemented by a messy up-do. Photo By PA Photos

Spring 2014 Beauty Trends
Now's the time to try out those makeup trends we saw at the recently completed Fashion Week shows.

EYES - Go green, literally! Paint your lids with springy green shades such as Avocado, Lime Shimmer, Sage or Shamrock (for good luck).
Experiment with a more ethereal look using pale pink and white hues like Pink Hilite, Pink Sparkle, Opal or White Hilite. You might even try to incorporate Pantone's Color of the Year for 2014: Orchid.

LIPS - Light pinks, warm berries, and bright oranges defined models' lips. Our Peony and Raspberry Lip & Cheek Tints will give you a subtle pop of pink, as they are more sheer than lipsticks. You can easily build up the coverage to suit your needs. Peachfuzz  and Cinnamon are great orange toned shades. Add gloss for a dewy look.
Q & A with the Formulator
This month we heard from Michele R. of Broadway, VA with a comment and a question:

Q - Thanks so much for the surprise gift of the concealer so many weeks ago! I never took the time for a proper thank you. And, now, thank you for this month's special with the refills! Wow! I just realized I was getting low on foundation this morning, and then I opened your email. Perfect timing! It might also be perfect timing for me to try the finishing powder, so I've ordered some. Perhaps someone can get back to me with answers to a few questions I have...Do I put the finishing powder on right after foundation or after I've applied my blush? Sometimes I get a little shiny on my forehead by afternoon; is the finishing powder a good way to matte that situation? Can I dust the finishing powder across my eye shadow, too? Thanks so much, Linda, and all of your wonderful staff!

A - Thank you for the kind words! The finishing powder is after the blush. It sets everything, and you put it all over, so it should control that afternoon shine. You can dust it on the eyes, but it may get in them as it is very lightweight. I recommend using a brush to control where the powder gets deposited and only apply it over a cream so it has a substance to adhere to, as you would with a powder eye shadow.
Pricing Update
All the minidoses for cream and liquid are now $5.  The acne serum, repair elixir, eye cream and
toners were changed from $3 to $5.

Minipinch samples of powders are still $3.
